3 chicks in this picture????
Eagle watching can be more than educational.
You sometimes find a picture that makes you
think one thing but the truth is actually another.
Yes there was only 2 eggs laid and 2 hatched.
No they didn't put another chick in the nest.
This is just one of those pictures you see and
just can't help saving as "funny things you see".

PARENTS CONTINUE TO FEED
Parents will continue to feed these chicks even when
they turn into eaglets and fledge at about 12 wks. old.
Even then while the eaglets are trying to learn to
catch fish on their own the parents will still feed them.
